Steve Mannhard is a Director of Client Solutions for Simple Energy where he works with utility clients to initiate, design, and deploy successful customer engagement and marketplace solutions.
Steve has a background in business development, marketing, and consulting in the power and utilities industry with a focus on transforming the industry to become more customer-centric and sustainable.
Prior to Simple Energy, Steve worked for Retroficiency (acquired by Ecova)- a SaaS company providing utilities with a commercial building analytics and customer engagement platform – where he was responsible for the company’s client solutions and growth in the Western US.
Steve also has worked with Ernst & Young’s Power and Utilities Advisory practice where he helped utilities enhance performance and solve challenges related to customer engagement, process improvement, business model innovation, and finding new growth opportunities.
Steve has an MBA from the IESE Business School and has worked with other leading energy companies including Siemens Energy; Standard Renewable Energy (acquired by GridPoint, inc.) – a distributed energy services company; and Natural Capitalism Solutions – a boutique sustainability consulting firm.
Outside of work, he tries to keep pace with his wife on the bike and running trail and invents cheesy songs on the guitar for his two kids. He is also an avid climber and energy nerd.
