Simple Energy, Inc. (“we” or “Simple Energy”) is changing how millions of people save energy and how utilities engage their customers. We use behavioral science, big data analytics and digital marketing techniques to build software that makes saving energy social, fun and simple.

Simple Energy’s Software as a Service (“SaaS”) customer engagement program uses behavioral science-based concepts to transform consumption data into features that inspire customers to take action. This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) applies to visitors to our corporate website located at www.simpleenergy.com (“website”) and does not apply to our direct software product deployment websites, which have specific privacy policies that reflect the requirements of our utility partners.

On the Simple Energy website, we invite the public to learn more about our product and services. When you visit the website, we collect and securely store information that you send to us directly, such as your name and contact information that you provide via that “contact us” portion of the website. We use the contact information that you provide to us to respond to your comments or inquiries. Your information is not shared with other organizations or third parties to allow them to contact you for marketing purposes or other commercial purposes.

Like most website operators, Simple Energy collects non-personally-identifying information that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site and the date and time of each visitor request. The purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use our website.

Simple Energy also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on WordPress.com blogs. We only disclose logged-in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that we use and disclose personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.
